All admissions at UET are based on students’ prior learning, whether through classroom training or online education from reputed and recognized academic institutions. For Diploma, Bachelor’s, and Master’s courses, applicants must have completed a qualifying degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or an internationally equivalent qualification. If the minimum criteria are not met, special provisions may apply for exceptionally skilled individuals in other fields, assessed on a case-by-case basis.

For Doctoral & Post-Doctoral Programs:

The doctoral research program at UET is designed for working professionals in education, research, or similar fields who wish to advance their careers through a part-time, research-based program while continuing their employment. These programs involve teaching assistance and research, which can be conducted without being physically present on campus.

UET acknowledges the unique challenges faced by professionals returning to higher education after significant career experience. While all advanced education requires certain academic merit, the doctoral programs at UET also assess prior learning and academic qualifications.

In this research-based model, students are guided by academic advisors who monitor their progress throughout the program in their chosen field of study, leading to the completion of a thesis or dissertation.

Admission criteria for Doctoral or Post-Doctoral programs include:

  1. The prospective student must take the university entrance test and achieve a score of 65% or higher.
  2. The student must have completed a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or a Grade of 5.51 and above on a 10.00 GPA scale (CBCS system).
  3. If the second criterion is not met, the student is still eligible if they have scored more than 60% marks in their Bachelor’s degree.
  4. If both the second and third criteria are not met, the student may still qualify if their entrance test score is 80% or higher.

Note: UET reserves the final right to grant or cancel any admission.
